BSU One
Marine add-on

From vessel to collection, from marina to invoice: one chain of records.

For shipyard and vessel repair projects and marina berth operations: vessel card, project, order, change order, progress claim, invoice and collection in the same record; tax and tariff values come from dated parameters, not code.

Marine is an add-on that runs on top of the BSU One core.

No ERP yet?

Use Marine ready-made with BSU One

The core (accounts, stock, invoicing, pre-accounting, finance) comes together with Marine. In a call we walk through the shipyard and marina flow with your own example.

Already have an ERP?

Let us connect it to your system

Today Marine runs on the BSU One core. We do not offer a ready-made connection to your existing system; we hold a conversation and, with a first project, set up the transfer of accounts, invoices and accounting vouchers together.

Scope and timing are settled in the call; a written offer follows the conversation.

What does Marine do?

Everything below comes from the Marine screens in the product.

Vessel, project, order
Vessel card; repair, dry-dock maintenance and refit projects; main order, change order and PC Sum allowance.
Budget, cost, portfolio
Project budget and cost categories; budget overruns and delayed projects on the portfolio board.
Claims and handover
Period progress claims, advance and retention terms; sea trials, provisional and final acceptance, defect list.
Dock, certificates, safety
Dock calendar, certificate and survey tracking, gas measurement and work permits.
Marina
Marina, pier and berths; booking, check-in / check-out record, berth tariffs and invoice draft from the contract.
Legal rules and evidence
VAT and withholding rule rows on a separate screen; tax evidence such as free-zone data is kept with the record.

Process flow from vessel card to collection

Press a step to see what is recorded, who approves and what the system checks.

1. Vessel card

What is recorded
Vessel name, type, IMO or registration number and flag; length, beam and draft.
Who approves
No separate approval step; the record is made by a user with Add / Edit permission.
Which check
IMO is mandatory for commercial ships; for yachts and small boats without an IMO, a registration number and flag are required. The same IMO or the same registration cannot be created twice.
Marina

Berths: occupancy, conflicts and length / beam check

Enter your boat’s length, beam and dates; see which berth in the sample marina is suitable, occupied or too small. Data is illustrative.

Pier A-01 10 × 3.6 m A-02 12 × 4.2 m A-03 12 × 4.2 m A-04 14 × 4.8 m A-05 18 × 5.5 m B-01 9 × 3.2 m B-02 11 × 3.8 m B-03 13 × 4.4 m B-04 15 × 5 m B-05 20 × 6 m

    • Conflict blockThe same berth cannot be booked twice for the same dates; the system says “occupied on the selected dates”. A cancelled booking frees the berth.
    • Length / beam checkIf the boat is longer or wider than the berth allows, the booking is refused and the message states both values. “Find berth” lists suitable berths.
    • Seasonal and daily tariffTariffs are dated rows per metre, by period type (daily / seasonal) and length band; the person who enters a row cannot confirm it, and no fee is calculated from an unconfirmed row.
    • Check-in / check-outReserved → In berth → Completed transitions are recorded with date and time.

    Invoice draft from the contract

If a booking spans two tariff periods, the nights are split by period and each period becomes its own line in the invoice draft. Values below are illustrative; VAT comes from the dated parameter row.

    Illustrative invoice draft calculation
    Night rangeNightsUnit (EUR/m)Amount (EUR)
    29.11 – 01.1221002,200.00
    01.12 – 03.1222004,400.00
    Total excl. VAT6,600.00

Example: boat length 11.0 m. A contract that has been invoiced is not invoiced twice and cannot be cancelled; a new tariff period added later does not change an issued invoice.

    Regulation

Rates live in dated parameters, not in code

Marine calculations read VAT, withholding and berth fees from dated official rows in the Parameter Center, not from constants in code. We do not print rates on this page: rates change, and the value comes from the record.

    Dated official parameter row
Every row has an effective start, end, source and version number. A new period opens with a new row and closes the old one.
    Four-eyes publication
Draft → Send for review → Verify → Publish. No legal value goes live on one person’s decision; the person who opens, verifies and publishes the row are different.
    Snapshot on the record
A claim’s calculation is stored with the rule version it used; a new period opened later does not change the old calculation.
No value, the system stops (fail-closed)
If a required legal value has not been entered, the system does not guess; the claim stops with “legal review required for official output” and says what is missing.

    Türkiye scenarios covered (by name)

    • Sea-going vessel construction / repair VAT exemptionClaim VAT scenario for domestic shipyard work under VAT Law article 13/a.
    • Free zone: services, goods and exportSeparate VAT scenarios for services inside a free zone, goods delivered inside a free zone and export from a free zone; exemption code and tax evidence kept with the record.
    • Multi-year shipbuilding / repair claim withholdingClaim withholding for ship construction and repair work spanning more than one calendar year; if the rule row is not published, the calculation stops.

If no published rule exists in that country for a scenario, the system produces no value and stops the calculation. This page is not legal or financial advice.

    Currency

    Work in the contract currency

A contract can be in EUR, USD or GBP. On a progress claim, the rate type is chosen at the finance approval stage and stays on the approver’s record.

    Frequently asked questions

Is Marine sold on its own?

No. Marine is an add-on that runs on top of the BSU One core; accounts, stock, invoicing and finance come from the core.

I use another ERP; can you connect Marine to it?

We have no ready-made connection today. We hold a conversation and, with a first project, set up the transfer of accounts, invoices and accounting vouchers together; scope and timing are settled in the call.

Are tax rates fixed in the system?

No. VAT and withholding values are read from dated parameter rows, not code. If a value is missing, the system does not guess; it stops the calculation.

Can one person change and publish a rule row?

No. A row goes live after review and approval by different people (four eyes). A published row is dated; a new period opens with a new row.

    Is marina operation in scope?

Yes. Marina, pier, berth, booking, check-in / check-out, tariff and invoice draft screens come with Marine.

Which currencies does it work with?

A contract can be in EUR, USD or GBP. On a progress claim, the rate type is chosen at the finance approval stage.

    Can I see it live?

You can ask for a call; we show the Marine flow with your own example. Screenshots will be added to the page separately.

Is it used for construction work outside the shipyard?

Construction has its own solution; the progress claim foundation is shared by both.

Let us show you Marine with your own example.

If you have no ERP, ask about using it ready-made; if you have one, ask for an integration call. A written offer follows the conversation.
